you forward.

You finished your sets. Now what? Add a rep, add weight, repeat the target, or back off?

Iron Progression brings your rep range, previous performance, and logged effort together to guide that decision. Progress when the work supports it. Hold when it doesn't.

Made for lifters who care about the details

Serious training.
Without the busywork.

Effort changes the story.

185 × 8 with two reps left is not the same as eight all-out reps. Optional RIR tracking gives your next target that context.

RIR & effort tracking

Your sets. Your way.

Warmups, top sets, backoffs, drop sets, rest-pause, and more. A log built for the details of real training.

Workout logging

A history worth building.

Track eligible personal records and estimated strength trends. Look beyond your best day to see the work adding up.

PRs & strength trends

Your training is personal.
Your log should be, too.

Log workouts offline, without creating an account. Training records stay on your device, and JSON export puts backups in your hands. No feed to keep up with. Just your work.

What is Iron Progression?

Iron Progression is a strength and hypertrophy workout tracker for Android. It combines local workout logging, progressive-overload targets, optional reps-in-reserve tracking, program building, and progress reports. iOS is coming soon.

Is Iron Progression available on Android and iPhone?

Iron Progression is available on Android through Google Play. The iOS app is coming soon. You can sign up for an iOS launch email without creating an app account.

Do I need to track RIR or RPE?

No. Effort tracking is optional. RIR means reps in reserve: the number of additional reps you estimate you could have completed. Logging it gives your progression targets more context than weight and reps alone.

Can I log workouts offline?

Yes. Core workout logging works locally on your device without an internet connection or a cloud account. App updates, configured crash diagnostics, and external links may use the internet.

Can I use my own workout program?

Yes. Build your own program, customize one of 29 built-in templates, or generate a workout around your time and equipment. Set your exercises, rep ranges, effort targets, rest periods, and progression preferences.

How do I back up my training data?

Export a JSON backup from Settings and keep a copy somewhere safe. Importing a backup replaces local records. Backups include photo references, not the photo image files, so save progress photos separately before changing devices.
